Fabio Capella is taking the momentum Russia has from World Cup qualifying and fielding a strong squad for the friendly with the United States on November 14.  Having handily beat Portugal and find themselves on top of Group F, five points clear of Israel.  Andrei Arshavin will not be featured in the match as his club status is up in the air with a possible switch to Reading from Arsenal.  Experienced forwards Pavel Pogrebnyak and Roman Pavlyuchenko are also out for the match.  Regardless the named squad is still very strong.

Youngster Denis Cheryshev is among the promising stars invited in by Capello.  His

performance for Real Madrid Castillo has been outstanding and he has helped the Russia under-21 squad qualify for the European tournament in 2013.

Other notables include Alexander Kerzhakov, who has 22 international goals, can captain Igor Denisov.  All but one of the 26 players are based in Russia with seven playing for Zenit St. Petersburg.
