U.S. Under-20 Roster for CONCACAF Championships Named

Yesterday Tab Ramos named an 18-man roster for the under-20 CONCACAF Championships that begins in Puebla, Mexico on February 18th.  The top four teams in the Championship advance to the u-20 World Cup this summer in Turkey.  The named players headed to Toluca yesterday before moving on to Puebla next week.  Two additional players are expected to be named in the coming days.  The U.S. squad will being the tournament against Haiti on February 18.  

The CONCACAF Championship group pairings are as follows:

Group A: Costa Rica, Haiti, United States
Group B: Canada, Cuba, Nicaragua
Group C: Jamaica, Panama, Puerto Rico
Group D: Curaçao, El Salvador, Mexico

The roster includes 11 professional players with Benji Joya the only one that featured in all 10 matches the squad played in 2012.  Jose Villarreal and Mikey Lopez also bring experience to the group.  However, the U.S. failed to qualify for the 2011 u-20 World Cup.
