The USMNT “X Factor” is Julian Green, at least that is what most people are saying about him.
Regardless of what your opinion of Green may be, Jurgen Klinsmann believes strong enough about him to bring him to Brazil.
Green is talented, but his age and lack of playing time for club and country makes his call-up questionable. With the level of talent on the USMNT squad for this World Cup, Green does have a solid chance to break the starting XI. Whether or not that will be during the first game or last, Green will start at least one game this World Cup.
When Landon Donovan did not receive a call, fans were in an absolutely uproar. Even with the Donovan story continuing to brew news stories, fans must start to turn their attention to the young and talented Green.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup will be a true test for the USMNT in terms of good the team performs with this group of players. Green will be put on the largest stage known to man and will be tested to his maximum potential.
