Apparently Lexus sedans are Clint Dempsey’s ideal teammates

Clint Dempsey and Lexus have teamed up on a must-see trick shot video series

When Tottenham fans like myself, remember Clint Dempsey’s time in the Premier League we remember a player who was best on his own. His unique ability to create goals out of seemingly nothing endeared him to White Hart Lane faithful.

Even when we think of his exploits with the USMNT, we think of goals in the snow or some tropical pitch. We just don’t think of him working sublimely with his teammates. Well, perhaps we never really knew what kind of teammates would mesh the best with Dempsey.

He just needed whatever team he was on to feature a few Lexus sedans in the side. In case you’ve missed it, you need to check out the latest trick shot video series between Dempsey and the car manufacturer here. I’m pretty sure the footage was taken from a CONCACAF pitch for the record.

At any rate, it’s clear that Dempsey would’ve scored quite a few more goals if he could’ve played up top with a couple of pimped out Lexus cars. Just chalk it up as another failing for people like Daniel Levy and Jurgen Klinsmann that they never surrounded Dempsey with the type of talent he really needed to reach his full potential.
