A goal a piece from MSN see FC Barcelona through on a 5-1 aggregate win over Arsenal in the Round of 16

It was a pretty easy night for FC Barcelona as they got goals from their strike force to win 3-1 at the Camp Nou against Arsenal to win on a 5-1 aggregate scoreline. Barcelona got goals from Neymar, Luis Suarez, and Lionel Messi tonight as MSN kept up their deadly attacking form.

The first half saw Arsenal come out guns blazing as they were down two goals on aggregate and needed to get one back. They had some good chances going forward but weren’t able to put any shots on target. But Barcelona struck quickly as Neymar was played through by Luis Suarez and he slid it past David Ospina to give Barcelona the 1-0 lead. It looked to be tie over for both teams.

The second half saw Arsenal get a goal back to thanks to Mohamed Elneny. The midfielder who was previously at Basel, found some space in front of goal and curled a beauty into the upper right hand corner. It gave Arsenal a goal back, their first goal of the tie, and gave them a lifeline. With Arsenal pressing, Barcelona needed an answer and they got one from Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan scored a fantastic side volley, leaving Ospina hopeless as Barcelona took the lead back.

Then Lionel Messi sealed the game with a beautiful chip over Ospina to make it 3-1 on the night and kill off any hope Arsenal had of coming back in the tie. It ended with that scoreline as Barcelona advanced to the quarterfinals with a 5-1 aggregate win. Here are five things we learned.
