Arsenal could lose Alexis Sanchez to Juventus
Arsenal are on high alert after reports surfaced claiming Alexis isn’t happy with his quality of life in London
Arsenal fans should be getting used to rumors of Alexis Sanchez unrest at this point. The latest reports from Italy claim that Juventus could swoop in for the Chilean superstar because he isn’t happy with his quality of life in London.
While I’m not completely convinced at the authenticity of these reports, I do think Arsenal have something to be concerned about. There’s just been too much smoke around Alexis being unhappy at the club over the last year to dismiss it all as idle talk. There has to be some measure of fire behind all of the media smoke.
The giant stumbling block for Sanchez receiving a home away from Arsene Wenger’s club is that only a few clubs in the world could afford to pay the giant transfer fee needed. The Gunners reportedly paid 42.5 million pounds to Barcelona for his services and would certainly want to profit on any Alexis sale at this point.
Given the necessary transfer fee of approximately 50 million pounds, there aren’t that many clubs that can even contemplate a move for the Chilean talisman. A few clubs aren’t interested in Alexis despite his talent, and there are a couple of clubs that the star likely wouldn’t sanction a move to despite their willingness to pay the money required.
This report in particular, claims that Juventus are very interested in making a move for Alexis. Their interest should have Arsenal fans quite concerned. Normally, they wouldn’t be in a position to pay 50 million pounds for one player, but this summer could find them flush with cash.

Juventus just so happen to have one of the most valuable players in the world on their current roster in the form of Paul Pogba. Perhaps the richest club in the world, Real Madrid, is also very keen on acquiring him this summer. If they are successful with a bid for the French superstar, it’s going to leave The Old Lady with a huge hole in their lineup.
It’s also going to leave the Serie A giants with a giant amount of cash to spend this summer. I could easily see some portion of Pogba’s fee being redirected to North London to bring Alexis to Italy. Pogba’s sale could easily initiate a domino effect that leads Alexis away from Arsenal.
Arsenal fans don’t need to worried about an imminent deal, but they’d be foolish to think that Alexis’ return to the club next year is a given. Such arrogance could prove to be a giant folly if Juventus make a big money move for the Arsenal talisman.
