Which Tottenham players stood out in the win against Sunderland?

It certainly wasn’t pretty, but Tottenham managed to get the three points they needed against Sunderland yesterday. The Black Cats parked the bus, but ultimately capitulated to a second half game winner by Harry Kane.

The victory might prove costly for Spurs though. Kane ended up leaving the pitch on a stretcher, and he wasn’t the only starter who appeared to suffer a knock. Eric Dier and Moussa Dembele both exited the field with apparent hamstring injuries in the second half.

Still, it’s of some comfort to Mauricio Pochettino and company that despite the injury issues, the team prevailed and got the victory. Anything less than the full three points against David Moyes’ side would have been a real deflating blow to the faithful at White Hart Lane.

Despite the match’s ugly aesthetic, there still were some real bright spots for Tottenham. Read on to discover which Spurs really helped their stock in the victory over Sunderland.
