Two down, one to go for FC Dallas?

It was only a couple of seasons ago that FC Dallas were struggling to earn one title, let alone three. But thanks to the club’s rebuilding efforts, here they are at the precipice of history. No team has ever won the Supporters Shield, the US Open Cup, and the MLS Cup in one season. Can FC Dallas become the first?

There is a reason why trebles are so hard to obtain: playing for three different titles takes it toll on a side. Considering that Dallas were not just contending for the US Open Cup, the MLS Cup, and the Supporters Shield but also the CONCACAF Champions League it is amazing that this side have somehow pulled it all together to accomplish most of their tasks this season.

But there is a price: injuries and tired legs. Thus far Dallas have only been bit by one of these maladies but can they avoid the second? They will find out in their two-game series against Seattle Sounders FC.

So with that in mind let’s take a look at the three hopes and one fear of FC Dallas entering into the MLS Playoffs.
