Tottenham crushed Eddie Howe’s side

Bournemouth arrived at White Hart Lane with the intention of really coming at Tottenham. Unfortunately for Eddie Howe’s squad, they simply became Spurs’ latest victims.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side did choose to use a slightly different script to dispatch the Cherries. Instead of counting on brilliance from Dele Alli, Spurs won in spite of his mediocre outing. It’s not that Dele played poorly, but he wasn’t anywhere near top form.

Ultimately, that didn’t matter. The likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-Min did more than enough offensively to give Spurs a comfortable victory.

Then again, any match where Tottenham take the lead via a corner kick goal from Mousa Dembele isn’t going to go according to plan. The Belgian scored his first goal in ages after a weak piece of defending from Bournemouth’s back line. His goal proved to be the match winner after the outstanding Spurs defence kept yet another clean sheet.

It wasn’t a perfect Tottenham performance, but it was an easy victory. Read on to see which players stood out against the Cherries.
