Other Players to Watch:
Andrew Farrell jumps to mind as a guy who could very well break into the back line. At right back though, he’ll have to outplay World Cup super-sub and fellow MLS’er (for now) DeAndre Yedlin. Shane O’Neill and Amobi Okugo could compete for a center back roster spot.
I can already tell I’m going to get hate for leaving out Jose Vilarreal and Darlington Nagbe. It’s not going to happen. Sorry west coast fans!
Keep a close eye on Erik Palmer-Brown for me though. 21 years old in 2018 is uncomfortably young for a center back, but the kid’s got talent for days. He’ll certainly contribute for the U-21’s over the next few years, and there’s been rumored interest from Juventus among others.
