2015 EAFF East Asian Cup Qualification
Preliminary Round 1 – Matchday 2
The second day of the first preliminary round involving Mongolia, Guam, Macau, and the Northern Mariana Islands continued today in Guam.
The Northern Mariana Islands bounced back from a rough 4-0 loss to Mongolia with a 2-1 win over Macau. They chipped away at an ugly goal differential but still face a tall task in their last game against a home Guam. Speaking of the home team, they took care of Mongolia today with a 2-0 win that now puts them in first after a scoreless draw in their first game.
Mongolia and Macau will face off in the last game. Macau has already been eliminated.
Here are the standings going into the final matchday that will take place on July 25th.
Guam – 1-1-0, 4 points, +2 GD
Mongolia – 1-0-1, 3 points, +2 GD

2014-15 UEFA Champions League
2nd Qualifying Round – 2nd Leg, Final Day
The Second Qualifying Round of this year’s premiere European championship is now complete. Celtic, Dinamo Zagreb, Legia Warsaw, Partizan, and Sparta Prague all advanced into the 3rd round, among others. All three teams that advanced from the First Qualifying Round did not advance to the 3rd round.
The third round will see some notable teams that entered through the league route such as Zenit St. Petersburg and Lille. The first legs will take place on July 29-30.
2014 Copa Libertadores
Semifinal 2 – Leg 1
In the second semifinal, San Lorenzo throttled Bolivar in front of a home crowd in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Bolivian side conceded 5 goals in the 5-0 loss. Emmanuel Mas scored in the 27th and 87th minute while Mauro Matos opened the scoring early in the 5th minute. Juan Ignacio Mercier and Julio Buffarini capped off the scoring for the winning side. This semifinal will shift to Bolivia in 7 days to decide the other half of the 2014 Finals.
2014 Copa EuroAmericana
Day 2 – Match 2
Monaco defeated Atletico Nacional to complete the sweep in their games for this year’s cup. Coming off of their win over another Colombian side on Sunday, Monaco took care of business again, but this time at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. The first game was in Colombia.
Dimitar Berbatov scored his second goal of the competition and is currently in the lead with two goals. The Bulgaria sunk one in the 16′ to bring the lead to 2-0. The score would push to the final of 4-2 with Ferreira’s goal in the 90+2′ for Monaco.
Monaco is now finished in this tournament and have done their part to give UEFA the cup win. It will now be up to Fiorentina, Valencia, and Atletico Madrid to take it home for Europe. Nacional played their only game of the tournament tonight.

The matches will continue on July 26th as Estudiantes de la Plata will take on Fiorentina in La Plata, Argentina while Alianza Lima will take on Valencia in Lima, Peru.
2015 UEFA Regions’ Cup
Preliminary Round – Group A – Matchday 1
With Group B completing their games earlier this summer, Group A now has their matches to play to determine a spot in Group 1 of the Intermediary Round. All Group A games will be played in Northern Estonia.
Dostyk and IV Vastergotland played to a 2-2 draw to open up Group play. Dostyk is representing Kazakhstan while IV is representing Sweden.
North Wales Coast defeated Northern Estonia with 3 unanswered goals to win with a final of 3-1.
The second matchday will be on July 25th as the Welsh team will take on Dostyk. Estonia will continue to look to salvage their campaign against the Swedish side.
