With the Premier League just 7 days away, I ask, who is going to win the prestigious competition? Will Manchester City defend their title for the first time in their history, or will Manchester United rise from the dead under new manager Louis van Gaal? Let us know.
In my opinion there are only five title contenders. I will go through each of their chances, and then leave it up to you to decide who you think will win the competition in our poll.
CHELSEA
Under Jose Mourinho’s leadership, Chelsea managed to win the Premier League twice in a row. They have since won it again but are still waiting for their fourth league win.
Five new signings this year put them in a great place to take the win. They signed Chelsea legend Didier Drogba back from Galatasaray, Diego Costa for £32m from Atletico Madrid, Cesc Fabregas from under Arsene Wengers nose, Felipe Luis and Mario Pasalic.

MANCHESTER CITY
Manchester City won the league last year for the second time in their history. However, they haven’t yet managed to defend their Premier League title, so that will be the aim for this year.
To defend their title they have brought in Willy Caballero, Fernando and Bacary Sagna. However, their transfer window shows no sign of being closed as they are close to a deal to sign Eliaquim Mangala for a fee reported to be around £30m.
MANCHESTER UNITED

Under David Moyes last year, Man Utd slumped to their worst league performance for years, missing out on all European football. Since the arrival of Louis van Gaal however, a resurrection is set to take place.
The ex-Holland national team manager has already been strict with the players. He forced Luke Shaw to train alone due to a lack of fitness. He has also told all those he sees as deadwood to leave the club before being forced.
Wayne Rooney will be instrumental this year for United. Should he have a good year and grab plenty of goals then Manchester United will definitely be in the running for the Premier League title. He will play just behind Robin Van Persie.
ARSENAL
Arsenal have won their first piece of silverware for almost 10 years last year in the FA Cup. This time round, they have hopes of bigger and better things and want their first Premier League victory since 2004.
Arsene Wenger has again spent money in this transfer window, the marquee signing of Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona standing out, but the signatures of Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle, David Ospina from Nice and Callum Chambers from Southampton.

LIVERPOOL
Last season, Liverpool surprised everyone and came second in the Premier League. Although they were only a few points from winning the title and that will give them tremendous confidence for this campaign.
Again, the signings have been coming thick and fast for Liverpool. They have spent well over £85m and have brought in no less than eight players. Can lightening strike twice? Could they even go one better despite the distraction of European football this year?
