2. Milwaukee

Milwaukee is absolutely flooded with soccer clubs. From Milwaukee Brewers FC, Milwaukee Bavarian’s, Milwaukee Sport Club, and so many more.

The city also plays host for two division one soccer colleges, UW-Milwaukee and Marquette University. These schools, along with the local clubs and even the professional indoor club, the Milwaukee Wave, all could supply the first start-up for a MLS expansion franchise.

Miller Park hosted the first ever soccer match in their stadium over the summer. Swansea City and Chivas Guadalajara played to a 1-1 draw in front of nearly 30,000 fans. For those who do not know, Miller Park holds just over 42,000 fans for Milwaukee Brewers games.

The fan-ship in Milwaukee continues to grow with every passing year. Bringing a club to Milwaukee makes for a lot of conversation on stadium site, or a deal with Miller Park, similar to that of New York City FC and the New York Yankees.

Plus, the Chicago Fire are just an hour south, sounds like the start of a hot rivalry.

Similar to Rodgers from the Packers, maybe Ryan Braun might become an investor and help fund the franchise.
