Diego Costa

This Chelsea man is not shy from confrontation. He is not only a threat in front of goal, but also a force to be reckoned with when it comes to possible football fights. Just recently honored with Player of The Month in England, Costa has also graced the lips of Everton coach Roberto Martinez and not in a subtle way. During Chelsea’s thrashing of Everton, Diego found himself in the middle of a square off with goalkeeper Tim Howard. His playing style is aggressive to say the least, but Martinez felt that Diego must “learn to respect his opponents” as reported on citypress.co.za.

The respectful Everton coach also added: There are certain foreign players who come to the Premier League who need to understand the ethics and the culture, the behaviour in the British game is unique. The last thing you want to see is disrespect from a player to another player and I am sure he will learn that very quickly. There is a real professionalism and respect in the league so you can understand why the players weren’t happy with that, in the same way as trying to buy free kicks with the way he plays.” He was also chin to chin with Liverpool defender Mamadou Sahko during Spain’s friendly against France at the Stade De France on Sept 4th. Any further argument was quickly halted by teammates, as that is hardly the style of La Roja.
