#5 – Graziano Pelle (Southampton) – I’ve said it 100 times already, but the Saints have been the biggest surprise of the season so far.  Maybe I know nothing about soccer, but I assumed that when a team lost most of their star players they would take a step back.  And maybe in the end they will, but so far Southampton has looked every bit as good as they were last season.

  • And the biggest reason for their success so far, the Italian striker, Graziano Pelle.  The 29 year old striker is making his first stop in the EPL with the ninth different team in his career.   He has been in great goal scoring form the past two seasons in the Dutch Eredivisie scoring 50 goals for Feyenoord.

So far for Southampton he has started off just as hot.  And no I am not talking about his looks, even though he is quite a handsome man.  I am talking about his play on the pitch.  He has scored four goals so far for the Saints including one goal that may end up being the goal of the year so far.
