So Much For Bill Hamid

Not to say he will never be the USA’s starter.  And I’m also not saying today was his fault.  But when a team concedes 4 goals, it’s a little bit the goalies’ fault.  And with the amount of ‘keepers the USMNT has in their pool, Hamid may sink to the bottom for the time being, at least until others get a chance in net.  He did make big saves when needed today, but was simply out matched vs. a Premier League style attack.

Sean Johnson has been neck in neck with Hamid for the 4th spot on the depth chart for a very long time.  MLSers like Bobby Shuttleworth, Zac MacMath, and Tally Hall all would be eager to get a call ups as well and are all coming off pretty good seasons.  And who can forget about Cody Cropper, the goalkeeper for Southampton who has been making a lot of noise across the pond.
