Thierry Henry (vs. Sporting KC)

Thierry Henry just doing what Thierry Henry does. I would say that is the best way to describe this goal. Henry has a knack for finding space and all he needs is to find a little and he will make you pay either with a killer pass or an electrifying goal.

When Henry received that ball at the corner of the 18 yard box, Sporting KC got over to him, but they gave him just a little bit too much space as well as let him get on the inside to his right foot. Henry found that right foot and just unleashed a shot that went to the top right corner of the goal, leaving no chance for Sporting KC.

    • The amount of pace Henry was able to get on that shot was incredible. Now I know Henry has done things like this in the past. I mean he has made a career out of these incredible moments, but that does not take away from the moment. This goal was an absolute thing of beauty.

    It seems like Thierry Henry always has one of these moments of magic up his sleeve, and when he pulls it out and uses it, it is amazing to watch. I think this goal has a very good chance of winning the goal of the year award. It is quite a goal to watch and the way Henry can find that space and quickly get that shot off is incredible. Not only that, but he can get that shot off with such power and accuracy which is why Henry is one of the best players in our generation.
