EPL struggling in Champions League

Maybe they’re starting to get out of the rut, but up until now the only BPL team that looked like it was willing to not suck in the Champions League was-surprise-Chelsea.  Manchester City is at the bottom of its group, Liverpool has essentially flown the white flag in their group, and Arsenal is struggling as well.  One level down in Europa League, Spurs and Everton have both seemingly suffered from the increased workload of having to play matches on Thursday.  So while they’re actually doing okay in European competition, their quality of play in the BPL is suffering a tad.

Weird 3rd Kits

Whether it’s the Liverpool Yellows or the Man. City Purples, there are some truly odd third kits this year.   I think I speak for all of us when I say that I’m truly glad that we do not have to see these worn very often because frankly, they’re horrible.  While Liverpool at least contains some sort of yellow in their uniform (even if it’s a completely different yellow), what is going on with City’s #3??? While I do get that it’s a nod to the past, absolutely none of it looks remotely City-ish, and the neon green?  Really? I thought we were better than that.  Although I may have to put it down on my Christmas wish list as something cool to wear the next time I want to go to a Rave/Blacklight party.  Ah, never mind, Manchester City.  I was wrong; your shirts were all the inspiration I need to step up my party-attire.

Well, that’s all I got on this end.  What are you thankful/not-so-thankful for this year?  Let us know below, and from all of us here at Playing For 90: Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
