Jaime Penedo, LA Galaxy

Position: GK

Jaime has simply been on fire during the postseason.  His stellar performance in the first round against Real Salt Lake gave the Galaxy ample momentum to come out and wipe the floor with RSL in the 2nd leg.  He’s given up 2 goals in appearances thus far in the post season, specifically the aforementioned 1st leg performance at Rio Tinto stadium.  Penedo made save after save against a relentless Salt Lake attack, each save more impressive than the next.  It was vaguely Tim Howard-like, putting his body on the line during several of his saves and at times risking injury.  Expect Penedo to once again stand on his head versus the New England Revolution, there’s no reason to believe his good run of form will end any time soon.
