Robbie Keane, LA Galaxy

Position: Striker

Robbie Keane is coming fresh off of winning MLS MVP as he heads into the MLS Cup Final.  He’s simply been lights out this season, to put it bluntly.  Much of the year he was overshadowed by Nigerian Obafemi Martins or the British duo Bradley Wright-Phillips and Dom Dwyer, but he’s been quietly doing his job all season at the helm of Los Angeles.  He’s tallied one playoff goal thus far, and three assists.  All were in the same game as well, during the Galaxy’s 5-0 rout of RSL.  During the regular season, he was one goal shy of finishing the season with 20 goals, while also notching 14 assists. This is impressive considering assists are a stat he’s never typically been known for.
