Jermaine Jones, New England Revolution

Position: Defensive Mid

While Nguyen’s performances may have done a lot to turn the Revs around, the change began with the arrival of Jermaine Jones, USMNT and World Cup Veteran, from Turkey.  His arrival bolstered the defense, transition, and attack in a heartbeat.

He adds experience, as well as a bulldog-like tenacity that simply not many players in this league have.  While Nguyen and Davies have been the ones scoring goals for New England this season, it seems more often than not that Jermaine Jones was a key player in the buildup of said goals.  Not many teams have been impacted so immediately by the arrival of a player as New England was with Jones’ arrival. They will need that influence to carry over to Sunday if they want any chance at beating LA on their home turf-an almost impossible task.
