The New England Revolution was the surprise of the league this year. Nobody expected them to make a run all the way to MLS Cup Final. The emergence of Lee Nguyen and the addition of Jermaine Jones have made the Revs even more dangerous and a serious contender for years to come. The one downside is that the team lost Patrick Mullins in the expansion draft. The Revolution will also be hoping to see Diego Fagúndez return to his 2013 form.

The “other” New York team even though New York City FC will actually be the only one playing in New York. Jason Kreis took the 2014 MLS season off so he could build NYCFC exactly the way he wants it. Kreis had tons of success while the head coach of Real Salt Lake. The Third Rail and other fans will be hoping he has as much success in New York as he did in Salt Lake.
