Andre Blake, Goalkeeper, Philadelphia Union

The former first overall pick out of the University of Connecticut has been given a great opportunity this year.  Last year, the talented Blake was buried in Philadelphia’s depth chart: Initially by incumbent Zac MacMath, and later by Alegerian international Rais M’Bolhi.  Well, MacMath’s been loaned out to Colorado and the disappointing M’Bolhi’s situation is uncertain at best, giving Blake the virtual reins, at least for the moment.  Andre’s already surpassed the rest of the Jamaican goalkeeping pool to become the Reggae Boyz’ default keeper, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s an MLS regular.  The question now is: will that be sooner rather than later?
