Clark’s been a pleasant surprise since his return to American soil.  The former No. 1 of Honefoss BK in Norway gave Columbus a solid presence in goal last year, bolstering the defense enough to propel Columbus to the playoffs after coming up short the year before.  At 6’2, the domineering Clark is quite the presence in goal, physically imposing, and virtually unmovable in the eight-yard box.

At 28, he may be just north of the “future USMNT prospects” line, but that says nothing about the career he could have for the recently re-branded Crew SC.  He’s easily a Top 10 keeper in the league, and the stats prove it.  He finished tied for 2nd for Most Saves behind Jon Busch and alongside Luis Robles.  His eight shutouts and 1.24 Goals Against Average were both amongst the league’s best.
