Juventus vs Dortmund: 5 Players To Watch
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be Dortmund’s most pivotal player. It is tough to imagine BVB dominating possession or even leading the possession game against Juventus at the Juventus Stadium. It is a fortress that has proven too much for any opponent not named Bayern Munich. Here is a player with speed unparalleled by many other stars in the game today and a player that Manager Klopp really has immense faith in to put one past any top goaltender in the world. In this case that goaltender is Gianluigi Buffon. Should BVB come out with a counter-attacking approach then you can be rest assured that Aubameyang will be punishing Juventus’ aggression.
P.E. Aubameyang has become Klopp’s reliable number one in the wake of Robert Lewandowski’s departure to Bayern Munich. He has managed to be “the man” on a team that went out and paid 20 million Euro for Ciro Immobile, a player that was sold by Juventus in co-ownership with Torino. Immobile sees the bench on his return to Italy for the first time and that might be a bigger statement then people would typically read in to.
Reus and Aubameyang will be lined up together and with that pace there will be a lot of trouble for the likes of Chiellini and Bonucci especially against the run of play. The pace could become too much for the defensive back-line.
