Colorado Rapids v New England Revolution Live Stream: How to Watch and Prediction

facebooktwitterreddit

MLS Week 5 action resumes tonight at the Colorado Rapids host the New England Revolution at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The hosts are looking for their first win of the year as they have struggled to find many goal scoring opportunities. New England is looking to continue their scoring from a game ago. Up until last week’s 2-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes, they failed to tally a goal during the MLS season. Granted the season is just getting under way, the New England Revolution reached the MLS Final last year where they fell to the LA Galaxy.

  • Both teams are off to slow starts, yet it appears the Revolution have figured out their issues. Also, Jermaine Jones’ return from his injury will add another scoring threat. On the other hand, Colorado lacks that goal scoring threat since transferring Deshorn Brown and will need to find someone during the Summer transfer window.

Saturday’s game could be a boring 0-0 affair or a match that features multiple goals. Colorado will have the slight home field advantage and the altitude may help them as well. They will take whatever they can in their favor to find the first goal of the season. On the positive side of things, Colorado has yet to give up a goal so far this season. It will be interesting to see which happens first: Colorado scores a goal or they give up a goal.

For New England, they are coming off their first win of the year after losing to the Seattle Sounders and NYCFC before tying Montreal Impact 0-0. Four points through four games isn’t the most impressive after making it to the MLS Cup Final a season before. They have a great opportunity to capitalize on a non-impressive Colorado side with only two points. A loss against the Rapids would cause further grief to the Revolution’s fans, but a win on the road would show that the sluggish start was just a phase and not the norm for their 2015 MLS Season.

Watch for Colorado to come out aggressive as they look to catch a jet-lagged Revolution off guard and the Rapids to continue to be another tight defensive unit.
