The UEFA Champions League 2015 finished with FC Barcelona’s expected triumph over Juventus, as the Blaugrana completed their treble with a 3-1 victory over the well-organized Serie A giants, who gave Barca a real scare for a good 15 minutes after Alvaro Morata’s 55th minute equalizer. However, Luis Suarez would score the go-ahead goal and Neymar would put the icing on the cake deep into stoppage time, as Xavi would be sent off in style with a Champions League victory after being subbed on for Man of the Match Andres Iniesta, who supplied the assist for Ivan Rakitic’s fourth minute goal.
That was the final, but the entire tournament, as usual, provided us with some fantastic moments and talking points throughout. Whether it was Lionel Messi’s insane performance against Manchester City with keeper Joe Hart up to the task, or Luiz Adriano contributing 60% of his club’s goals, there were plenty of great performances to highlight.
And so, Playing For 90 brings you 2014-15’s UEFA Champions League Team of the Tournament In a 4-3-3 formation.
