The latest edition of the daily transfer gossip on Playing for 90, brought to you by co-editor Kevin Kelly, brings you up to date on all the latest news of ins and outs from the world of the Premier League and abroad, including news of Jose Mourinho finding a new home to loan a multitude of players to.

Mourinho to link up with Ludogorets

In recent years Chelsea have been synonymous with loaning out a multitude of players to clubs such as Vitesse, and as Guardian Sport revealed, Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets will likely be the latest destination for Chelsea players to be loaned to.

Ludogorets new coach Bruno Ribeiro is a close friend of Mourinho, with both men born in Setubal, albeit 12 years apart. Ludogorets reached the group stage of the Champions League last season and drew 2-2 at home to Liverpool. They will enter this season’s competition in the second qualifying round.

José Mourinho is like a brother of mine,” Ribeiro, a former Leeds United and Sheffield United midfielder, told Bulgarian media. “We talked about Ludogorets and he advised me to come here.

“It is possible that some Chelsea players will join Ludogorets [on loan]. I’ll talk with Mourinho and see what happens. Without doubt he is going to help us.”

City Continue Pogba Chase – Aguero Happy to Stay Put

The Daily Star report that Manchester City will face stiff competition for the signature of Paul Pogba  with PSG keen on signing the player. Pogba, 22, is believed to favour a move to Spain to one of the La Liga giants.

But Real have yet to decide if they will stump up the £70m needed plus wages in excess of £200,000-a-week the France international is demanding. Barcelona are under a transfer embargo and cannot sign anybody until January – although they are hoping the ban will be lifted.

Meanwhile the Daily Mirror report that despite interest from Real Madrid, Sergio Aguero is happy to stay in Manchester. The 27-year-old, currently on Copa America duty in Chile, agreed a five-year deal worth £200,000-a-week last August and insists he is happy at the Etihad.

His dream is to win the Champions League – and he believes he can do that with the Blues.

“I can’t stop rumours. I can’t stop people writing things,” he said. “But what I can do is repeat what I have already said, and that is that I’m very happy at Manchester City.

“I have had success over the last four seasons there and I’m hungry for a lot more.

Liverpool to Finalise Gomez Deal

Liverpool are set to finalise the deal to bring Joe Gomez to Anfield. The 18 year-old central defender will leave Charlton to sign for Liverpool for a reported initial £3.5m, which could rise to as high as £7m.

Gomez was voted Charlton’s young player of the season and only just lost out as the Championship young player of the season. Liverpool beat off serious late interest from Aston Villa and Bournemouth for the 18- year-old who spent much of the season at right-back but is tipped to mature into a top class central defender. Gomez was also the subject of interest from Arsenal and Manchester City.

There was also interest from Germany report the Daily Mail, including Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach, but based his final choice on the style football he wants to play and his development.

The arrival of Gomez is likely to signal the departure of centre-back Sebastian Coates to Sunderland on a £4million permanent deal.

Chelsea Eye Midfield Star
According to the Express, Chelsea are considering a move for Axel Witsel. Mourinho has identified the defensive midfielder as one of the men he wants to improve his options, with long-serving John Obi Mikel looking likely to leave Stamford Bridge amid interest from Turkey and the Middle East.
