In a weekend where very few teams appeared as title contenders, Manchester City did just that.

On Monday, Man City traveled to the Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion, which could have proved a tricky fixture for a team who many experts picked to somewhat struggle this season.

In spite of all doubters, Man City looked like legitimate title contenders.

The 2013-2014 Premier League Champions controlled the ball for 69% of the game, and completed an amazing 692 passes throughout the 90 minutes.

Ya Ya Toure, David Silva, and Vincent Kompany, who all had their struggles last season, looked incredible. Toure scored two of the three goals, while Kompany capped off the 3-0 win with a headed goal off of a corner kick.

They now will face off against the defending Premier League champions Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium, and will look to continue the assertion of their league title intent.
