Winner: Premier League Parity

Who would have thought that the likes of Leicester City, Crystal Palace, West Ham United, and Aston Villa would take up four of the five spots on the Premier League table? Probably nobody, but that is the current state of the league.

This week in the Premier League saw smaller clubs such as Leicester, Swansea City and West Ham impress, while projected title contenders like Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal struggled.

Obviously, it is only one week into the season, but this could be a season of Premier League parity that could make the quest for the 2015/16 title very interesting.

Mid-table clubs probably won’t challenge for the title this year, but we have already seen that they are more than capable of taking points from the top clubs in the league.

West Ham took care of projected title contenders Arsenal at the Emirates, while Swansea City took a well-earned point away from Stamford Bridge.

This off-season, it hasn’t just been the big clubs who have made impressive signings, it has been clubs from throughout the table, which could lead to an incredible amount of parity in the Premier League.

If this continues, we could be in for a roller coaster of a season.
