Team news
Arsenal
Arsenal will be without Jack Wilshere (calf), Danny Welbeck (knee), and Tomas Rosicky (knee) for tonight’s class; all three are long-term absentees. Other than that Arsene Wenger has no fresh injury concerns.
Liverpool
Brendan Rodgers will have to sweat on the fitness of his captain Jordan Henderson, who had to leave the Bournemouth game early last Monday what was reported as a persistent foot problem.
Long-term the absentees of Jon Flanagan, Joe Allen and Daniel Sturridge remain, though the latter has this week returned to training on Merseyside.
Insight
Liverpool travel to The Emirates tonight looking to retain their 100% start to the season, thanks to slender 1-0 victories against both Stoke City and Bournemouth. The Reds will heed caution though, having lost 4-1 away at Arsenal last season, an indeed in the season before too.
Arsenal meanwhile will have gained confidence from their hard-fought victory away at Crystal Palace last Sunday. Wenger has a fine record against Brendan Rodgers, only losing to the Northern Irishman once, while he’s managed the Merseyside club.

Ahead of the clash Mesut Ozil has spoken about the Arsenal’s need to underline their Barclays Premier League title credentials with victory over Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.
“I remember that we delivered a really convincing display. In the first half we decided the game because we had a high level of concentration and wanted to utilise our potential. We want to do that again this time,” Ozil told Arsenal Player.
We are at home and we know exactly how we can beat Liverpool; that is what we want to do on Monday,” said the German international.
Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool
