CHELSEA

While a number of fans are in panic mode now after the performances from the Blues early in their title defending campaign, the club have done their best to bring in more young talent prepped for heading back out on loan for experience. Some are concerned with Fabregas and Matic, an almost 180-degree turn from last year, citing their solidified places as a reason to be weary of the future. Supporters believed that had the Blues brought in some more quality in midfield that the Spaniard and the Serb would be less comfortable and, therefore, feel as if they would do better once fighting for their place.

It’s no secret that the Paul Pogba rumors were picking up towards the end of the window and that a return to the Premier League may have been on the cards for the French star, but whether or not a formal bid was rejected by Juventus is unconfirmed.

The biggest signing of the summer for Chelsea, and one of the best of the window has to be the then-wantaway winger Pedro whose growing frustrations with guaranteed playing time led to an eventual exit from Barcelona. The Spaniard has already found a place in the team and has assisted and scored in his limited appearances, and has done more for Chelsea fans in two games than Juan Cuadrado did in an entire season. Chelsea supporters may not be thrilled with the team’s current place in the table, but should be relatively pleased with the business done.
