MANCHESTER CITY

After sealing the deal for Kevin De Bruyne, the title favorites are looking as dangerous as ever and the Citizens have reason to believe they won’t be stopped in their bid for a third Premier League title in five years.

At this point, Fabian Delph is just a summer bonus to the key additions of Raheem Sterling and De Bruyne, who will have a direct impact on the starting XI, and it’s strange to think following all the drama that surrounded the Villa captain then. Nicolas Otamendi is like to start along Kompany once Manuel Pellegrini dubs him ready, but other than the defender, Sterling, and De Bruyne it’s difficult to see other signings like Delph getting a lot of playing time.

With the early results from Chelsea, though, it doesn’t seem as if City have many direct rivals for this year’s Premier League title and may see a very similar run to what Chelsea enjoyed last year. However, early season successes can be caught up by later season failures and those at the Etihad should be wanting consistency if nothing else.
