TOTTENHAM

Last on the list of Premier League clubs attempting big deals is Tottenham Hotspurs.

Many of the “big names” Spurs brought in a few years ago have now left with the completion of this window – Paulinho, Roberto Soldado, and very nearly Erik Lamela – but oddly enough the club have not brought in the quality expected through quantity this summer.

Tottenham swooped Toby Alderweireld from right underneath Southampton’s nose, Kieran Trippier arrived from Burnley, and the biggest move of their summer was completed after Son Heung-min’s recent arrival from Bayer Leverkusen believed to be worth about £22m, but will it be enough for them to break through the top four? Don’t hold your collective breath.
