Everton-B-

I’m a big fan of Roberto Martinez personally. He always comes across as thoughtful, pleasant and nice on television. However, I’m not sold on the job he’s doing at Everton. He has some real star quality in the side with Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley and John Stones, but can’t seem to round the rest of the starting 11 into any kind of form at all. Isn’t that supposed to be the easier part of the job after getting your stars to play at a high level?

The bottom line is that Martinez is doing a barely above average job with the team that he has. If he could find a way to get the bottom half of his starting lineup to perform at an average level they would be several spots higher in the table. I wonder if Everton fans will be content to hover around 9th all season long or if they will begin to question their affable manager.
