Manchester United-B

I’m sure I will get hear plenty of displeasure voiced by United fans but I just think they’ve been pretty average on the young season. Hey, if you don’t believe me just ask Paul Scholes. I’m not as anti Louis Van Gaal as the former United player, but I’m not in love with his tactics either. He’s produced a pretty boring brand of football at a club that’s fans literally preach attack during the game.

There is a lot of talent on the side, but it’s patchy and doesn’t seem to fit together. United get a special deduction for their bottling of Memphis Depay. I think he’s wildly overrated, but he is a talented prospect and his time at Old Trafford has been a disaster. Add this to the confusing usage of Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial and United is lucky to receive a B. They do get credit for cobbling together a back four despite significant transfer window failings.

United fans are happy to be in fourth, but undoubtedly wish it was a prettier journey to get there.
