Sergio Aguero-Manchester City

For me the speedy Argentine is the best pure striker in the Premier League. When he’s fit, I think he is absolutely unplayable and is the league’s most dangerous man when he’s anywhere near the goal. He certainly benefits from the attacking talent that surrounds him at City, but he’s the one who makes opposing defenses pay.

In a sense, Jamie Vardy is a slightly lesser version of Aguero. Both players feature dynamic pace as part of their game and each player is adept at finishing from tough angles. Aguero just happens to have slightly better movement and significantly better finishing talent than the Leicester front man. Being a slightly lesser version of Sergio Aguero is still a heck of a compliment.

Even the most passionate Leicester supporter would trade Vardy for Aguero in a second if they’re being honest. Yes, Vardy is a cult hero for the Foxes but Aguero is world-class without question. If every Premier Leauge player were made available for a draft Aguero would likely be the first selection. Anyone who says they prefer Vardy either isn’t being truthful or hasn’t watched enough Manchester City or Argentina matches lately.

Aguero is the clean preference over Vardy and it’s not particularly close either.
