Romelu Lukaku-Everton

I realize that I’m the unofficial president of the Romelu Lukaku fan club in terms of the FanSided network, but I think it’s fairly obvious that he is better than Jamie Vardy.

He has been phenomenal this year for Everton and has kept them in the top half of the league table even when his teammates have struggled. Other than Ross Barkley, he hasn’t gotten a lot of help from his attacking teammates but that hasn’t stopped him from knocking in goals all year-long.

While he isn’t as fast as Vardy (few are), he does have quite a few other advantages over the former non-league star. He is by far the more physically imposing player of the two and uses that size to garner great position in the box. He isn’t a statue out there either. He has great pace and skill that make him a truly well-rounded front man.

He’s set a record as the youngest player to score 50 goals in the Premier League for a reason. At 23 he has already demonstrated that he’s a prodigious talent who can produce goals at a young age. He’s certainly farther along than Vardy was at 23 and he’s simply the better player of the two.
