Anthony Martial-Manchester United

Don’t even start to accuse me of being a United homer. I’m a Tottenham fan through and through, but I’m objective enough to realize that Martial has an exceptional amount of talent. At 19-years-old he’s not a finished product by any means, but he’s already a really good Premier League striker.

He might not be quite as pacy as Vardy, but he’s really fast and quick when he’s got a full head of steam. One needs only see the difference between Manchester United’s attack with and without him on the pitch to see how dynamic he is. His pace and creativity transforms the United attack from being utterly boring and predictable to something that at least resembles a creative attack.

He and Vardy both approach the position similarly, I just think Martial has more raw ability. Given his youth, he will likely experience significant career development over the next three seasons while Vardy will struggle to retain his current level of performance.

Given the fact that I’d be inclined to take Martial over Vardy if I were getting a team ready to play today, I have to give the nod to Martial over the next three years. Again, I think Vardy is a terrific player but Martial has the chance to become a world-class attacking player. He could develop into one of the best strikers in the world sometime in the next three years while Vardy can’t get any better than he is today.
