Premier League teams should be looking closely at these 5 Serie A players in the January transfer window

As the January transfer window approaches, Premier League teams are dispatching their scouts throughout the world in an effort to uncover the right acquisitions to bring to their teams. Many of these scouts are headed to Serie A to see what Italian talent can be exported to England. There’s certainly enough talent there to make those trips worthwhile, but the catch is finding the right player to fit the right club.

This piece will take you inside Serie A to unearth five players that Premier League teams should be chasing as the transfer window draws near. We aren’t bothering to focus on players who can’t be acquired (Pogba, etc), instead we are writing about players who Premier League teams might actually purchase. This doesn’t mean it wouldn’t take a significant fee to bring the player to England, just that it is an actual possibility. The Premier League’s upcoming TV deal will allow teams to spend at never-before seen levels so I’m not overly concerned about expensive transfer fees at the moment.

Without further delay, here are five players that Premier League teams will undoubtedly be trying to pry away from their current Serie A clubs.
