FC Barcelona

Real Madrid wouldn’t be the only Spanish giants interested in Hazard if he hit the open market. You can bet that La Liga’s defending champions would be willing to spend a large sum of money to acquire the phenomenal Belgian as well.

You can never have too much attacking talent on one football team and if Hazard was to head to Barcelona that axiom would be put to the test. They already have an embarrassment of riches in attack with Messi, Neymar, Suarez and others, but they’d still add Hazard if they had the chance. Having those four attackers on the field at the same time would almost be unfair for opposing defenses.

Barcelona might also represent the best fit for Hazard in terms of their style of play. The thought of him taking over for Messi eventually at the club as their false nine is quite intriguing. That wouldn’t happen immediately upon his arrival but in a couple of years it could be a graceful transition.

In the meantime, he’d be an absolute star playing on the wing with Messi and company. He’d provide them even more attacking width on the pitch which’d make Messi all the more dangerous. Can you imagine a lineup with Hazard and Neymar manning the two wings? It would be a nightmare for fullbacks all over the world.

Barcelona doesn’t need Hazard, but they’d bid on him for their own gain and also to keep him away from their Real Madrid rivals.
