PSG

The defending French champions are worried about life after Zlatan Ibrahimovic and purchasing Eden Hazard could go a long way towards quieting their fears.

PSG knows they need to replace their superstar with another superstar. When Ibra departs Paris he’s going to leave a huge hole in their roster even with Edinson Cavani ready to move into his spot on the pitch. They’ll be aggressive in bidding for stars all over the world and Hazard would certainly fit that profile.

On the field, Cavani will need quality service from wide areas and that’s an area where Hazard really flourishes. Cavani could really thrive if he were to be flanked by Lucas and Hazard at the same time. It might even be a net-upgrade in life after Ibra.

French football also might be a better fit for Hazard than the Premier League. He wouldn’t need to worry nearly as much about the physical play that plagues him in England and he’d be afforded quite a bit more time on the ball. It might be a slight step down in terms of league competition, but it’d also leave Hazard much fresher to give maximum effort for PSG in the Champions League.

Selfishly, I’d hate to see Hazard take his career to France because it would allow him to take things a little easier. It’d be be better for his long-term health, but it wouldn’t be as fun for fans to watch week-in and week-out.
