Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will work right up until Deadline Day to try to pull these five deals off

Liverpool many have secured their place in the finals of the Capital One Cup, but that doesn’t mean that manager Jurgen Klopp is happy with the state of his squad. You can bet that he has the club’s transfer committee working hard to try to bring some quality to Anfield before the transfer window is through. They’ll also be working feverishly to discard those who won’t thrive under the German manager.

Most knew that Klopp’s reign at Liverpool was going to take some time to really kick on. It takes a particular kind of player to thrive in his high-pressing system and it’s certainly not right for everyone.

Only just now, have we begun to see which players are going to be able to make it in Klopp’s system and which need to move on. Those headed out of the club aren’t necessarily bad players, they just don’t fit the system of the new manager.
