1. Sell Christian Benteke

Belgian striker Christian Benteke has the ability to be an excellent Premier League striker. His style of play is just an awful fit for what Jurgen Klopp wants in a number nine. The sooner he gets away from Klopp the better it will be for both Liverpool and the player.

There’s no shame in admitting that a transfer just hasn’t worked out. I don’t think Liverpool would be able to recoup every dime they spent to acquire Benteke if they sell him now, but stranger things have happened. It’s still the right thing to do for everyone involved.

It’s almost physically painful to watch Benteke struggle up top for Liverpool. He was such a force during his Aston Villa days and he’s lost all confidence now. A move away could kick-start what was a very promising career before he switched clubs.

For Liverpool, it would be an opportunity to turn the page on a striker that just doesn’t work for them. The longer he stays the lower his value becomes and the more playing time he takes away from strikers who could grow under Klopp. Keeping him really doesn’t make much sense.

Christian Benteke will be a dominant striker again in his career, and it might even be in the Premier League, it just won’t be playing under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
