Manchester United desperately need to shake things up before the January transfer window ends. Here are five deals they’ll be pushing for until the window slams shut.

Even though Manchester United currently sits in fifth place in the Premier League table, things still feel like a crisis at Old Trafford. Some shrewd moves in the January transfer window could be exactly what Louis van Gaal and company need to right the ship.

For all the moaning and groaning about their on-field performance, they do need to remember that they are just in fifth place. Things could be a lot worse, just ask Chelsea. There’s still plenty for them to play for this season.

With that being said, the club needs some serious change in this transfer window if it intends to salvage their season. Doing something special isn’t mathematically out of the question, but it doesn’t seem very likely with the roster’s current construction.

The good news is that Manchester United is one of richest clubs on the planet, so they can afford to go out and shake things up. Ed Woodward won’t be put off by anyone’s price tag if he thinks the player can shake the team from their doldrums.

Read on to discover what five deals Manchester United will be working on right up until the end of the transfer window.
