1. Extend Arsene Wenger

Few managers have meant as much to a club as Arsene Wenger has for Arsenal over the years. Wenger’s name has become synonymous with the club over the past two decades. It’s imperative that they lock him up to a contract extension.

There isn’t a huge amount of pressure to get this done quickly given the fact that his current deal runs through 2017, but I think it’s a mistake to let it linger. If you know you want him to finish his career with the club, why not go ahead and make it official?

The Metro reported earlier this week that the club and Wenger’s representatives were already in talks about a multi-year extension. Arsenal ownership would be wise to get a deal done before whispers begin about his future.

When you’re chasing a Premier League title, the slightest little distractions can derail things quickly. That’s why Arsenal cannot allow the matter of Wenger’s contract to become a story. He wants to stay and the club wants to keep him, so they just need to move forward and get a deal done.
