Rumours have been floating around about Neymar possibly leaving Barcelona, who are easily the best side in the world right now.

Neymar is arguably one of the best players in the world and is sure to win the Ballon D’or at some point in the future. After playing brilliantly since his big money move from Santos in 2013, the news soon came along regarding his future with Barcelona.

He has been learning from the best striker in the world in Luis Suarez and the best player in the world, which is of course Lionel Messi, this has helped him develop into an outstanding player with bags of potential.

Since turning 24 last week, the rumours of bids and talks between the player and Manchester United and, dare I say, Real Madrid have thrown his future up in the air. The Brazil captain has still got a lot to learn about the game at the highest level, but I’m sure he has the ability of becoming the world’s best one day.

Moving to Manchester United or Madrid would be a step down in my opinion, as he is playing with the best players in the world and currently a vital part of the best team in the world. There is talent at both of the other clubs of course, but nowhere near the level of his teammates at Barcelona.

Neymar has recently said he would like to play in the MLS one day, which has increased speculation about a departure. He has already scored 16 La Liga goals this season and only Ronaldo, Benzema and Suarez have managed more. Also, Neymar has been providing assists, mainly for Suarez and Messi, as he has registered 13 assists in all competitions.

When he arrived in Barcelona in 2013 a lot was expected of him and he hasn’t failed to deliver as he was a vital part of the Barca team that completed the treble last season. He is part of the best trio in the world and himself, Messi and Suarez have managed to light up La Liga and prove to be dominant under the management of Luis Enrique.

La Liga and Barcelona is the perfect platform for Neymar to showcase his talent and become of the best players in the world for both club and country. Under the guidence of Luis Enrique he will no doubt improve each year and playing with the likes of Messi, Suarez, Iniesta and Rakitic will only allow him to develop and learn as a player.

Leaving Barcelona will give everyone the wrong opinion of what type of player he is and would also blow minds as to why he would leave the best team on the planet. However, money is a huge factor in the game these days and with Manchester United supposedly putting in a world record bid, then Neymar could be convinced.

Here is a taste of what Neymar is capable of:

Neymar is already one of the world’s best footballers and I would find it very hard to believe why he would leave Barcelona as it seems like a big step down. Barcelona is the perfect place for him to follow in the footsteps of the greats like Johan Cruyff, Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho and Maradona. But yet again money talks in the modern game…
