7. Vlad Chiriches

As for all the signings made that summer, he started off quite promisingly and had some good performances in a Spurs shirt, including that audacious bit of skill in the Europa League against FC Sheriff.  All Tottenham fans started getting very excited about their new signings.

It soon came crashing down, Chiriches showed how woeful he was and what a poor excuse he is for a footballer. Awful performances led to him becoming unfavoured by the Tottenham faithful and to top it all off, his agent came out and said Tottenham was just a stepping stone for Chiriches to sign for Chelsea. This angered Tottenham fans, but made them laugh at the same time because they knew a player like Chiriches would never play for Chelsea, so it was very laughable.

Chiriches was the worst of the seven signings in 2013 and is safe to say Levy wasted £8.5 million of the Gareth Bale money on a complete waste of space. It was very clear during his first season that Chiriches thought he was a lot better than he actually was and never actually wore the Tottenham shirt with pride. Once Pochettino came in, he was pretty much excluded from the first team, unless desperately needed, then sold to Napoli in the January. He was the first out the door.
