6. Etienne Capoue

Labelled as one of the bad eggs during his two-year spell with Tottenham, which he was very fortunate to get a whole two years with the club. In all honesty Capoue was one of the better players at the beginning of that season and his power excited some people. No doubting he was a good player, but he has got to be one of the laziest football players ever.

All the talk when he signed was about his medical as he went to White Hart Lane as a nobody, but news soon came out that he apparently broke all fitness records during his medical. Tottenham fans automatically assumed that was getting an engine in midfield that wouldn’t stop running, but in reality he was the complete opposite.

His early injury may have ruined his career with Tottenham, but there were never any signs of him fighting for his place in the starting 11, he seemed very happy sitting around keeping the bench warm and earning a lot of money. His apparent high fitness levels were non-existent and he could never play on a consistent level in the Premier League, which was clearly too much for him. Although he is now playing for a much less demanding team in Watford (no disrespect to them) and is probably on one of the highest wages and he is enjoying the power. Overall at Tottenham he was a bad egg and never really was up to standard, so in the summer of 2015 Pochettino sold him to Watford after trying to give him a second chance in the side.
