Saturday May 7th – Chelsea at Sunderland

Sunderland is the club that just cannot get it right this season. They have been one of the worst clubs in the league this season in just about every category and have been spared the embarrassment of propping up the table by Aston Villa. The Villans have been downright horrible and look like a lock for the drop.

The Black Cats however have shown some fight but have been done in by their terrible defense. They have conceded the most goals this season and made Chelsea look like title contenders when the two clubs faced off after Mourinho was sacked. It would take a miracle for them to avoid the drop this season and a win at home against the Blues may be what they need.

Their last match of the season is against a club that many thought would be fighting relegation in Watford but have instead climbed to mid-table and close to safety. A meaningless match against the Hornets after a win against Chelsea may be too much for Sunderland to hope for but positive thinking is the key to success.
